Of Special Note - The true flying fox is a very peaceful fish that will do well in any community tank. It will mainly keep to itself and feed on algae in the tank. It can grow up to 6 inches and need an aquarium of at least 30 gallons.
If more than one of this species is kept in the same aquarium, they may attack each other. However, in a large aquarium, this is not as likely since there is more room for each of them to have territory. This species prefers having a plants present in the aquarium upon which it can rest. It can be fed flake or pellet food and frozen blood worms.
