Of Special Note - The Niger Trigger is a beautiful and popular fish in the aquarium hobby. The fish has a bluish-green body and bright red teeth, which can be seen when it eats. It should be kept in a tank of at least 70 gallons to allow it adequate swimming space.

This species is highly aggressive and will readily eat smaller fish. It should only be kept with other aggressive fish. The niger trigger can be fed a variety of fish and invertebrates, including some hard-shelled food that will wear down its teeth.
