Of Special Note - The neon blue goby is a popular addition to aquariums. It acts as a cleaner to larger fish by cleaning them of parasites. It should be kept only one to a tank except in the case of a mated pair.

This species should be fed brine or mysid shrimp on a regular basis. It is a hardy fish and can survive a variety of tank conditions without too much trouble. This species is very easy to breed in an aquarium and will generally lay eggs in a rock crevice.
