Remote Underwater Drone

Goal: To create an underwater drone that is operated remotely and transmits video information to the pilot.

This is a project that I have been planning to do for over a year, and I really want to give it a go. It will take some money, but it shouldn't be terribly expensive. I am tentatively planning to use a PVC body for the device and initially just try to get motor controls working remotely. It will probably interface with my laptop via a USB connection. Clearly wireless communication wouldn't work too well through water, so it would have a tether cable to supply communications and possibly power.

I hope to start work this summer if nothing else gets in the way!
