I had to post a review after seeing one of the best documentaries of all time, In The Shadow of the Moon (2007). This excellent film documents US space exploration, specifically the Apollo missions. It features new footage recovered from NASA's vaults, including footage of moon orbiting, landing, exploration using the lunar rover, and departure. The footage is simply stunning and the interviews with the astronauts provide a glimpse into what they were thinking and how they continue to feel about their impressive achievement.

I upgraded our forum to PHPBB3 so that should fix the horrible spam problems we have been having for a while. Since that broke the bridge to our coppermine picture gallery, I have disabled coppermine for the time being and may remove it permanently.

The schematics section should be working again. Thanks to Michael at Junction Audio for pointing out that it broke with the forum update!

Today I added the official MIL-STD-1553B Specification released by the Department of Defense in 1975. This public standard is widely used for networking in military and commercial systems. I also added the ARINC 429 Specification, another public standard that is widely used for networking. As the name suggests, the standard was developed by ARINC, a well known communications company.

To the historic sounds archive, I added speeches by Timothy Leary and Hunter S. Thompson, two notable figures from the 1960s. I also added the speech by George W. Bush made on September 11, 2001 and a statement by the president of Virginia Tech after the shootings.

I also added an article about Decompression Sickness, an ailment that occurs when rapid depressurization causes dissolved gases to form bubbles in the bloodstream.

The second is Calling All Engineers, which seeks to dispel rumors that engineering is a risky career path. The third is Agnosticism: Embracing the Uncertainty, in which I discuss the concept of agnosticism. The fourth is End Apathy: A Call to Action.

Today was the first content addition in a long time! I am planning to take a break from the Museum Syndicate site now that it has over 12500 paintings so I can concentrate on this site once again. The first new article is on The Feasibility of Nuclear Energy by Chris Dettmering.

Any Richard Feynman fans out there might also be interested in this announcement as well. I scanned over 100 drawings by the late physicist and nobel laureate, which you can check out here. Museum Syndicate currently has the most Feynman drawings and paintings on the entire Internet (by far). :D

Finally, in case you haven't noticed, the console ROMs are now gone. Unfortunately, the ESA threatened legal action and I was forced to comply since I am a United States citizen. For the time being, they won't be available, although you can still download the Apple II ROMs. :'(
