It has been quiet here, but mainly because I have been devoting all of my time to the sister website, MuseumSyndicate.com. If you are a history or art buff, go check it out! It now has a larger collection of war photographs than this website, as well as all sorts of other things.

I am planning to take a little break from Museum Syndicate now that I am getting more satisfied with it and come back to FIS to add a lot of additional content. I will still be updating MS frequently, but it will be more balanced with FIS now. I wrote some tools that do most of the work of adding things to the database so now I spend most of my time finding new things to add instead of adding them!

I should also mention that I am going to remove some of the abandonware since it is no longer abandonware when it is being sold through Good Old Games, a quickly growing digital distribution company with no DRM. I've noticed that a few are up for sale and updated for modern systems, so they are no longer abandonware. I buy most of my games through Steam and GoG, but abandonware is one area where the games aren't available commercially. The abandonware section will remain on the website (and grow), but I will remove any that are put up for sale again out of respect for the developers.

If you're a jigsaw puzzle fan like myself, rejoice! I have added a JAVA jigsaw puzzle generator to every item page on MuseumSyndicate.com. So if you are browsing the site and feel in the mood for a puzzle, just click the jigsaw puzzle link in the item info table. For a sample, check out this beauty! I think this makes it the coolest museum website on the entire internet! :D That is all.

I found some great newsreels from World War II that I had to add before the night was over. I love old newsreels and you will notice that the video section has quite a few! :D Some of these are from the Allies and some are from the Nazis, there is even one that shows the construction of Panzer Tanks. Very cool stuff!

Today I added a few user submissions, including some schematics and ebooks. I also added some World War I pictures to the history section that are pretty cool. If you have anything you want to add to the website, feel free to email it to me or submit it through the "Submit Content" link on the right!

I just added a number of pictures from the Civil War that I found. I've always found that era fascinating, since it is cool seeing early photographs. Unfortunately, some of these are a bit gruesome. It is a shame there are no pictures of the Revolutionary War, that would really be something to see.

In other news, Museum Syndicate now has over 26,100 items in its collection and about 1,500 more waiting on my hard drive to be uploaded. The work never ends, but at least I feel I am contributing something valuable to the Internet.
